Chicago Network Overview

Utilizing bandwidth from Level(3), SAVVIS, AT&T, MCI/Verizon Business, XO, PCCW Global, TeliaSonera and GameRail, our Chicago network is built with only one thing in mind: performance. Whether you're running game servers, high-performance web servers, or anything else requiring the highest level of network performance, this network will deliver.

Our Chicago network is fully meshed, using BGP, and redundant with a wide selection of backbone providers, including Level(3), Savvis, AT&T, MCI/Verizon Business, XO, PCCW Global, TeliaSonera, and supplemented by local peering. This network is perfect for highly demanding services such as online gaming and VoIP.

Our Chicago network utilizes routing and switching products from Juniper Networks and Cisco Systems, the leaders in the industry. We utilize Juniper M20 and M5 routers as border routers, Cisco 6509 (SUP720) switches as our distribution switches, and Cisco 2950/2960 switches in our aggregation/customer layer. Additional network equipment includes DDoS mitigation hardware on each of our incoming carriers, allowing us to mitigate multi-gigabit DoS/DDoSattacks. In addition, 10 Gigabit Ethernet is used at the core of the network to reduce the risks of internal congestion due to DDoS attacks and to maintain optimal flexibility.
