About Quake 3: Team Arena Multiplayer:
Quake III: Team Arena is id Software's mission pack for Quake III Arena. Q3A is a deathmatch multiplayer-focused game; Team Arena,
however, is focused on the multiplayer teamplay experience.
Team Arena has five gametypes; four are teamplay and one is deathmatch. The teamplay gametypes -- Overload, Capture the Flag, One Flag
CTF, and Harvester -- require teamwork with either human players or the Team Arena bots, while the Team Tournament mode is a 1 on 1
deathmatch game against a Team Arena bot. Team Arena also contains a few new weapons and items not found in Q3A, four new team
powerups, and some new awards as well.
While Team Arena is an add-on requiring the full version of Quake III Arena to play, the mission pack is packed with enough stuff to
almost make it a stand-alone product.
